Wine Growing In France

There are so many regions for growing wine in France. Depending on the type of grape you grow. There are some grapes that grow better in mild weather, some in warmer regions, and others in cool. The soil is different in every region as well. Hillside to flat depends as well.  And that goes for Champagne too. Here in the US, we can't call what we make Champagne, it's sparking wine. France is the country it originated from so they have the rights to the name based on the region Champagne.

There are so many family owned winery's and they have been passed from generation to generation.

If your a wine lover, you should go for wines of France.

Hi there and thanks so much for visiting me (; You had asked about my Ikea couches, they are machine washable although I did see some of theirs that were not. I have 3 boys and 3 dogs and they have held up well!

Glenda...you blog is just beautiful. The border, everything. I keep trying to find something I like and finally found a woman who will make one for me. I loved your pictures of wine country and barrels of grapes. Wouldn't they be gorgoues framed on a wall in a dining room?
I have a dining room set I want to redo...in black. eeeech...sort of scared to get started.

There is no doubt French wines are absolutely fantastic. The photos are great too. My favorite is the photo of the vineyards with the horse.

Our family imported wines from the Cotes de Rhone region of France for resale for several years. What a beautiful area it was. I wish I would have appreciated the wine more when we visited the vinyards, too young and foolish at the time.
